Job Summary
Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments, manage timelines for multiple projects, and troubleshoot equipment and experimental problems independently. Develop experimental strategies for Bioreactor Scale-up, analyze data using statistical tools, and lead the team to support other R&D groups. Prioritize work based on business urgency, prepare formal reports, and communicate progress to management and cross-functional teams. Serve as a subject matter expert for Bioreactor Scale-up, ensuring successful project outcomes and implementing new technologies. Maintain expertise through technical publications and educational opportunities while developing long-range plans for Bioreactor Scale-up.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum B.S. in a science, bioscience, engineering or bioengineering field
- B.S. in a science, bioscience, engineering or bioengineering field with >12 years of relevant work experience
- M.S. with >10 years of relevant work experience
- Ph.D. with >4 years of relevant working experience
- Effective communication skills with external and internal customers
- Able to build strong relationships
- Experience managing cross-functional projects
- Capable of working on complex problems of a challenging nature
- Capable of independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results to broadly defined objectives dictated by trends in business and the current product plan
- Receives minimum instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments
- Mammalian cell culture experience
- Experience designing, running, and analyzing data from mammalian culture bioreactors
- Experience with process development to optimize parameters for bioreactors
- Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently
