Sr Scientist, Development

Senior Scientist in the Product Development team focused on assay development for high-throughput operation, contributing to study design and documentation, executing bench studies, and transferring developed assays from R&D into production within a CLIA laboratory setting. Responsibilities include developing interpretable experimental designs, applying bioinformatics for data interpretation and study design, writing SOPs and experimental protocols, preparing reports for the Design History File, and mentoring laboratory tasks. Collaboration spans automation, laboratory infrastructure (LIMS), clinical, bioinformatics/data analysis, regulatory, and marketing groups. The role requires extensive bench experience (>6 years), familiarity with design controls and phase-gate processes, ability to design workflows for production, and strong communication skills. Educational qualification specified: a Doctorate-level degree in biology or related fields; industry experience in regulated product development and assay development using molecular genomic technologies (RNA/DNA) with NGS capabilities.
