Job Summary
Develop a schedule compliant with the selected execution strategy and drive schedule optimization to mitigate risks while improving resource utilization. Define the planning and scheduling system, including methods, procedures, dashboards, and physical progress tracking. Lead resource planning, sequencing, and leveling activities, and develop Work Breakdown Structures to ensure integration with cost and reporting frameworks. Provide schedule input during proposal phases, validate contract durations, and lead the development and approval of baseline schedules for client acceptance. Monitor project status to detect delays, propose corrective actions, and identify change impacts. Integrate cost and schedule information for Earned Value Management and forecasting, then capture lessons learned to improve planning standards. Requires 7+ years of project execution experience and proficiency in Primavera.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in project execution
- Proficient in producing a plan from a scope of work
- Milestone planning expertise
- Proficient in identifying critical path and float
- Excellent understanding of Earned Value Management along with Productivity Index (PI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient in Primavera (P6) or similar scheduling software
- Good knowledge of EPCI work processes and sequences
- Ability to lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively, including sufficient clarity of speech, hearing, or other communication capabilities
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Sufficient visual acuity or other observational abilities to review documents, perform analysis, and conduct investigations
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine office tasks such as typing and using standard office equipment
- Sufficient mobility to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations as needed
