Job Summary
Design and develop satellite components and systems using SolidWorks, creating detailed 3D mechanical designs and assemblies for spacecraft hardware. Implement thermal control solutions including radiators, multi-layer insulation, heat pipes, and coatings while planning thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock testing to validate mission requirements. Define mechanical and thermal interfaces for seamless subsystem integration with electrical, propulsion, and avionics teams, maintaining BOMs and generating manufacturing drawings and thermal analysis reports. Requires 8+ years in spacecraft mechanical/thermal design with advanced SolidWorks expertise and a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 8+ years in spacecraft mechanical/thermal design

- Advanced SolidWorks experience

- Deep understanding of heat transfer principles
