Sr Sales Support Assistant, Fixed Income

Job Summary

Monitor and ensure timely settlement of all fixed income trades, verify confirmations, and proactively resolve discrepancies with clients and back office. Track failed trades, notify clients of good fails and delivery issues, and open/maintain client accounts in internal systems and Bloomberg. Assist sales teams with bids, offers, and orders via phone or Bloomberg, process requests for letters and reports, and coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports. Enter trades into Bloomberg and other internal systems while responding to client inquiries for confirmations and prospectuses. Requires FINRA S7 and S63 licenses within 180 days, 3+ years of financial services experience, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Hybrid schedule (4+ days in office) with occasional overnight travel.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in financial services or trading support
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • FINRA License S7 within 180 Days
  • FINRA License S63 within 180 Days
  • Deep understanding of fixed income trade lifecycle and settlement processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness to client needs
  • Demonstrates awareness of operational and compliance risks and takes proactive steps to mitigate them
  • Works effectively with internal partners including traders, salespeople, and operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing interactions
  • Ability to resolve trade discrepancies and account issues efficiently
  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Skilled in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office Suite, and trading platforms
  • Understands market dynamics and how they impact trade execution and client portfolios
  • Familiar with risk controls and procedures related to trade settlement and client onboarding
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements including CIP, DARQ, and documentation standards
  • Awareness of account structures and operational workflows in institutional finance
  • Experienced in managing travel, expenses, and internal reporting for sales teams
  • Capable of preparing and delivering clear, professional materials for internal and client use
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs (backpacks, computer bags)
  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay
  • Hybrid work arrangement (4+ days in office)
