Job Summary
Generate and close leads for global testing, inspection, and audit services within assigned strategic business units, targeting large global and US-based accounts. Visit potential customers to prospect new business, develop quotations and proposals, and negotiate fees and terms. Secure legal documents for client relationships, qualify opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to present SGS capabilities. Execute sales and marketing plans with management, attend industry events for lead generation, and prepare written responses to customer RFPs. Perform administrative functions including call reports, tradeshow documentation, and data maintenance in the Customer Platform. Promote SGS integrity and network knowledge to clients while adhering to global health, safety, and integrity policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background in Analytical Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 7+ years demonstrated sales success in professional services industry
- 2+ years of experience in the industry for the relevant business unit (CPCH, EE, HL, or SL)
- 2+ years of project/contract management experience
- 2+ years of experience in international / multi-cultural environments
- Advanced Other language skills (French, Korean, Spanish)
- Intermediate level Mathematical Skills
- Advanced level Reasoning Skills/Abilities
- International business exposure in imported consumer products
- Persuasive, diplomatic, but always to the point and a strong ability to sell a concept
- Hands-on, self-driven, open-minded, results oriented proactive team player
- Willing and able to interact with Client on a regular basis including face-to-face meetings
- Ability to work well independently and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
