Job Summary
Senior Sales Engineer responsible for selling John Crane products and services to existing clients and self-generated prospects in Caspian and Central Asia, while proactively seeking additional customers to meet or exceed annual targets. Manage and develop Tier-1 & Tier-2 customers; understand client needs and provide tailored solutions; provide technical support and sell value-added solutions; collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery; identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts; target retrofits and energy transition projects; analyze market trends and competitor activity to position offerings; build bridges between customers and local Service Centre; prepare and deliver compelling presentations; collaborate with sales and marketing to drive growth; monitor KPIs and participate in budgeting/forecasting; evaluate tender requirements and engage Regional Customer Service. This role requires significant cross-border coordination and a global, multicultural perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar field
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in engineering and sales
- Engineering knowledge in a proactive multinational and multicultural environment
- Strong technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio or equivalent industry
- Must be proficient in English, Russian and Kazakh
- Knowledge of oil & gas, petrochemical and general industries
- Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
