Sr. Risk Analyst, Credit Risk Management

Job Summary

Monitor consumer lending portfolio performance, credit trends, and key risk indicators to identify emerging risks and adverse variances. Coordinate the development of the quarterly Credit Oversight Report and supporting materials, synthesizing forecast results and credit decisions into actionable insights for governance committees. Support independent assessment of portfolio risk, CECL forecasts, and material credit decisions by conducting analytical reviews of assumptions and methodologies. Develop and maintain portfolio monitoring tools, dashboards, and analytical frameworks using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. Collaborate across first- and second-line functions to gather information and challenge credit decisions while maintaining an independent risk perspective. This role serves as a primary coordinator of the Bank's Quarterly Credit Oversight reporting process, reporting to the Director, Credit Risk Oversight.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or quantitative discipline
  • Two (2) years of experience in credit risk, consumer lending, portfolio analytics, financial analysis, or related analytical risk disciplines
  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel
  • Understanding of consumer lending, portfolio management, credit performance metrics, and credit risk monitoring concepts
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience evaluating portfolio trends, identifying performance drivers, conducting root cause analysis, and interpreting large datasets
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into concise, actionable reporting and presentations for management audiences
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Demonstrates a desire to understand underlying drivers of portfolio performance, challenge conventional thinking, and proactively investigate emerging risks, trends, and opportunities for deeper analysis
  • Maintains a high standard of accuracy and quality in analysis, reporting, and risk assessments
  • Demonstrates strong discipline in validating data, documenting conclusions, and ensuring information used in decision-making is complete and reliable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate recurring reporting processes, and meet deadlines
  • Responsible for complying with all the Bank's internal control policies and procedures
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all laws and regulations to which the Bank is subject
  • Responsible for communicating problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, noncompliance with laws and regulations, policy violations, or illegal acts
  • Must be available for hybrid work (remote or hybrid, with expectation of working approximately 2-3 days onsite per week)

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA, Economics, Statistics or related field)
  • Experience developing performance reporting, portfolio monitoring, or credit risk analysis
  • Experience with SAS, Python, or comparable analytical tools
