Job Summary
Conduct periodic audits for assigned locations and utilize collection systems to identify past-due items. Contact clients regarding established collection procedures and client/attorney protocols while maintaining accurate records of all collection activities. Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports, analyze financial data, and communicate professionally with insurance carriers on behalf of attorneys. Work closely with the Revenue Manager to identify issues, revise procedures, and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Demonstrate good judgment in escalating issues and assist team members with problem-solving and special projects as assigned. Maintain promissory notes and personal guarantees while adhering to FDCPA standards and accounting principles.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years related experience
- Must reside in a state where we have a physical office
- Strong knowledge of common collections standards and practices
- Acute grasp for the FDCPA
- Basic accounting principles
- Effective verbal, interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Ability to provide suggestions for process efficiency and improvement
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines
- Commitment to perform job responsibilities with high professional and ethical standards
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Basic knowledge of foreign currency
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Equivalent work experience (to the 2-year undergraduate degree requirement)
