Sr. Revenue Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee revenue recognition and ensure accurate client billing in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 842 standards. Review data center contracts for proper revenue treatment, prepare service orders, and perform detailed reconciliations of revenue-related accounts including common area maintenance and utilities. Prepare journal entries for deferred revenue and accruals, while generating monthly revenue reports to highlight trends and support management decision-making. Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to assess contract impacts and assist with internal and external audits. Identify process improvements to streamline revenue recognition tools and reporting. Perform monthly utility billing calculations and provide customer service for external inquiries as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Accounting degree
- 5+ years' experience in revenue accounting
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP especially ASC 606 and ASC 842
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening
- Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
- Comfort creating processes and implementing strategies that serve an organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal staff, external consultants, customers, and other stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- NetSuite experience
- Strong preference to real estate and leasing related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communications skills
- Enjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teams
