Sr. Resource Geologist

Job Summary
Interpret, develop, and update geological models using Leapfrog-Geo and Leapfrog-Edge to analyze mineralization, lithology, and structural relationships. Conduct structural geology and geostatistics studies, perform drillhole database evaluations with QAQC protocols, and review block models for mine reconciliation. Collaborate with the Support to Geology Exploration team to identify resource extension opportunities and assist with drilling programs. Prepare and validate resource models and data tables for annual mineral resource statements in compliance with international standards. Full-time, 40-hour week at Jerritt Canyon Gold LLC in Elko, NV, with up to 10% travel to Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Science or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent
- 5 years of experience in mineral resource estimation
- 3 years of experience in a mining environment, including geological modelling, resource modelling and block modelling, providing support to mine planning
- 3 years of experience with 3D Geological modelling software such as Leapfrog Geo and Leapfrog Edge
- 3 years of experience supporting a Geology Exploration team in gold deposits
- 3 years of experience supporting a drilling program
- 3 years of experience in structural geology and geostatistics
- 3 years of experience in drillhole database evaluation and QAQC protocols
- 3 years of experience in mineral resource statements in compliance with international standards and guidelines
- SEG or AIPG membership or equivalent
- Full time, 40 hours per week position
- Up to 10% travel to Mexico to attend meetings
