Sr. Reliability Engineer

Job Summary
Conduct reliability analysis and lead root cause investigations for new power tool product designs. Act as subject matter expert on user requirements, warranty data, and critical-to-quality mechanical and electrical features. Design experiments, define test plans, and analyze failure data using statistical techniques like Weibull analysis to support advanced engineering activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Marketing to define specifications and manage risk assessments for new product development. Travel up to 25% of the time to work with US and Asian suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- 7 years of experience in similar reliability and quality role
- Master of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- 5 years of experience in similar reliability and quality role
- New product commercialization processes emphasizing design, manufacturing, quality, test and/or reliability activities
- Training in quality engineering fundamentals
- Proven experience leading a primary function within a project team
- Design of Experiments
- Life data analysis
- Other related statistical tools and software (i.e. Minitab, Reliasoft)
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (includes both domestic and international)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with lithium ion battery tools and technology
