Sr. Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct reliability analysis and lead root cause investigations for new power tool product designs. Act as subject matter expert on user requirements, warranty data, and critical-to-quality mechanical and electrical features. Design experiments, define test plans, and analyze failure data using statistical techniques like Weibull analysis to support advanced engineering activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Marketing to define specifications and manage risk assessments for new product development. Travel up to 25% of the time to work with US and Asian suppliers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • 7 years of experience in similar reliability and quality role
  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
  • 5 years of experience in similar reliability and quality role
  • New product commercialization processes emphasizing design, manufacturing, quality, test and/or reliability activities
  • Training in quality engineering fundamentals
  • Proven experience leading a primary function within a project team
  • Design of Experiments
  • Life data analysis
  • Other related statistical tools and software (i.e. Minitab, Reliasoft)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (includes both domestic and international)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with lithium ion battery tools and technology
