Job Summary
Senior Reinsurance Accountant to join our Irving, TX team. Lead month-end close for reinsurance accounting, account for ceded and assumed transactions, perform reconciliations, prepare quarterly reporting to reinsurers, and assist with regulatory filings. Responsible for GAAP and statutory financial statements, supporting audits, preparing Schedule F, and strengthening internal controls. Requires 4+ years of accounting experience, insurance industry exposure, and advanced Excel skills; Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s preferred) and US work authorization. On-site role with a fast-paced, collaborative environment; opportunity to contribute to financial reporting integrity and cross-functional partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; insurance industry experience required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, statutory accounting, and Yellow Book reporting
- Advanced Excel proficiency required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested formulas)
