Job Summary
Assess the nutritional status of patients, translate physician-ordered diets to individual needs, and develop care plans for inpatients and outpatients. Coordinate with clinical staff to create nutritional plans by reviewing records and assessing the best course of action for therapy and services. Document the plan of care in the clinical record, identify potential problems through direct observation or data analysis, and institute corrective action. Individualize care to meet patients' personal, safety, mobility, dietary, and specialized needs while communicating nutritional risk factors, education requests, and complaints to the healthcare team. Perform counseling and nutritional health teaching, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies. Requires a Master's Degree, Registered Dietitian license, and Dietetic Internship; offers $10,000 hiring incentive and $5,000 relocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Master's Degree
- Three years' technical experience
- Leadership experience
- Dietetic internship or its equivalent
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership
- All required vaccinations
