Job Summary
Assess the nutritional status of patients, translate physician-ordered diets to meet individual needs, and develop care plans for inpatients and outpatients. Coordinate with clinical staff to create nutritional plans by reviewing records and assessing the best course of action for therapy and services. Document the plan of care in the clinical record, identify potential problems through direct observation or data analysis, and institute corrective action. Individualize care to address patient safety, mobility, dietary, and specialized needs while communicating nutritional risks and requests to the healthcare team. Perform counseling and nutritional health teaching, ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory policies, and perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Master's Degree
- Three years' technical experience
- Leadership experience
- Dietetic internship or its equivalent
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation
