Job Summary
Inspect products, components, and parts against blueprints, engineering change notices, and operating procedures to validate conformance and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements. Sample and test raw materials and incoming products for compliance with company standards, approve component usage, and halt processes that could adversely affect quality. Collaborate with quality engineers to resolve parts issues on the manufacturing floor, improve specification clarity and metrology tools, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. Independently identify risks, present mitigation paths, and maintain ISO 9001 certification through daily activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Industrial metrology
- Broad measurement equipment proficiency
- Mechanical drawings interpretation proficiency
- Experience in data analysis
- Problem solving
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend throughout shift
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US
- Unrestricted work authorization for US
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a technical field
- Proficient in GD&T
- Interpreting engineering prints
- Five or more years of related experience in parts inspection
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Ability to adjust to changing initiatives
- Experience in quality assurance methodology including ISO, Six Sigma, and Lean
- Experience with print consumables and associated processes (ribbons, inks, protective patches etc.)
- Experience in Oracle ERP System
