Job Summary
Senior Real Estate Counsel, Renewables leading origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the United States; manage a pipeline of deals across the US and facilitate dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and the management team; negotiate and draft documents for commercial real estate transactions; oversee due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and operator, offtaker, and facility information; advise on strategic transactions and commercial matters; collaborate with senior management, origination, pricing, and property management; role involves working remotely from a home office.
Required Qualifications
- 6-12 years as a commercial real estate attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer
- Understanding of the financing, development, and operation of solar, wind, and battery projects
- Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship
- Fluent with technology and remote work
