Job Summary
Senior Gen Rad Tech responsible for performing radiographic imaging examinations independently (including portable exams and on-call if applicable), mentoring students and new employees, and assuming lead duties in their absence. Role includes assisting with hospital/department initiatives, maintaining quality assurance, participating in safety and process-improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance (ACR, JC), and delivering high-level customer service with clear patient instructions. The position supports mentorship of new employees and students, with potential leadership responsibilities in the radiology department.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
- 2+ years of radiology experience
- Experience in roles such as Lead Tech, Charge Tech, Senior Tech, Supervisor or Radiology Department Lead
- Knowledge of radiology procedures and safety
- Regulatory compliance experience (ACR, JC).
