Job Summary
Assist in localizing tumors, participate in treatment planning, and deliver ionizing radiation therapy while acting as the primary liaison between patients and the radiation team. Ensure patient safety and conduct weekly chart reviews for quality assurance. Train Radiation Therapy students and new staff. This role is part of a team of radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nurses that works side-by-side with surgical oncology, medical oncology, pathology, and interventional radiology to create individualized treatment plans using targeted technology. The department is renowned for its patient safety program, which employs quality assurance protocols and innovative techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
- State certification for Medical Radiation Technologist
- Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in all modalities as a radiation therapist
- Three (3) years' experience within a comprehensive cancer center
