Job Summary
Test and calibrate next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) Radar systems, owning engineering and production testing for digital, RF, and antenna circuit cards. Drive test and calibration equipment in collaboration with the hardware design team, while supporting system integration, engineering lab testing, and data collection for system check-out flights. Execute functional and environmental test plans, ensuring certification compliance for DO-160 environmental, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC standards. Requires BS in electrical engineering, 5+ years of RF testing experience, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers. Full-time role with access subject to U.S. export controls.
Required Qualifications
- BS in electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional hands-on experience with with RF testing and antenna range wireless testing
- Ability to design complex RF test systems
- Experience writing and executing test plans for functional and environmental testing
- Experienced in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in science or electrical engineering
- Experience in flight testing of advanced RF systems
- Experience developing system architectures and managing requirements for certification of avionics
- Creative problem solver that can bring multiple disciplines together, with the ability to assess risk and make design decisions without all available data
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting various electronic sensors and components
- RF circuit design experience up to 12GHz
- DO-160 and DO-254 hardware design assurance experience.
