Job Summary
The role involves leading lab buildout efforts, including the installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment, to accelerate lab and pilot infrastructure operations. Responsibilities include enhancing lab infrastructure for automation and experimental throughput, maintaining safety and organization, and mentoring a team of lab technicians. Ideal candidates should have over 10 years of R&D experience, a craftsman’s mindset, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a proactive approach working collaboratively with scientists and engineers. Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience executing R&D projects, including installing, maintaining, and repairing laboratory or pilot-scale equipment.
- Deep familiarity with EHS standards and safe lab operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working across mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in adjacent industries including high-temperature, catalytic, carbon, or materials growth processes, such as petrochemicals, advanced ceramics, specialty chemicals, battery materials, semiconductors, metallurgy, or industrial gas processing.
