Job Summary
Seeking Sr. R&D Engineer specializing in Simulation & Modeling to lead advanced manufacturing technologies, focusing on additive manufacturing processes for dental and orthodontic devices. Requires strong background in finite element analysis, machine learning, and related engineering fields.
Required Qualifications
- MS + 6 years or PhD + 3 years in Biomedical/Mechanical/Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics or related degrees/equivalent work experience
- Theoretical and experimental background in structural mechanics, biomechanics, material characterization, and finite element analysis
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years with hands-on experience in structural FEA/FEM with simulation software (ABAQUS, ANSYS, Comsol, etc.)
- 5+ years coding experience with programming languages (Python, MATLAB, C/C++ or Fortran)
- 5+ years with data processing and visualization libraries (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in machine learning (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
- Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and processes
- Experience with material characterizations
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, Rhinoceros, etc.)
- Experience with biomedical research or medical device industry
