Job Summary
Coordinate tenant communications, manage rent subsidies, and execute leases for new move-ins, renewals, and transfers. Oversee site staff, approve applicants for HUD units, and ensure building violations are promptly corrected. Manage annual unit inspections, REAC inspections, and regulatory compliance with HUD, HPD, and NYC agencies. Supervise personnel, handle complaints, and prepare owner certification reports for regulatory submission. This role manages a mixed-income portfolio of 1,400+ units across 10 properties in the Bronx. Candidates must possess LIHTC certification, knowledge of HUD and NYC landlord-tenant laws, and proficiency in Yardi software.
Required Qualifications
- Supervising a large portfolio of affordable housing assets
- Tax credit experience
- Managing a staff of direct reports
- Excellent writing and planning skills
- Confident and quick-thinking individual able to prioritize essential tasks
- Associates Degree (60 or more college credits)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years experience managing affordable residential rental properties
- Supervisory experience of 5 or more staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Authorization to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
- LIHTC certification
- Fair Housing, and Reasonable accommodations polices

- Knowledge of the 4350 HUD Handbook for Multifamily properties
