Job Summary
Glatfelter Insurance Group seeks a Sr. Property & Casualty Underwriter to independently qualify and price business, with at least 5 years of underwriting experience and a relevant degree, to join their GPE team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Property & Casualty Underwriter
- Current property-casualty license for state of residence within three (3) months
- Thorough knowledge of all commercial insurance
- Experience underwriting public entities or educational institutions preferred
Desired Qualifications
- AU, CPCU, ARM designation or comparable higher insurance education
- Analytical ability for underwriting judgment
- Effective negotiation skills
- Proficient in IT tools and software applications
- Effective oral and written communication skills
