Job Summary
Develop and manage project schedules, creating templates for field use and coordinating tasks with project managers. Monitor timelines, identify potential delays, and facilitate solutions while training Foremen, Superintendents, APMs, and PMs on scheduling processes. Gather data from reporting to provide detailed analysis for management review. Work with general contractors and design-build teams to monitor schedule risk, determine logic and constraints, and evaluate critical path sequences. Assess actual progress via site inspections, identify schedule gaps, and proactively work issues with stakeholders. Prepare consolidated progress reports, present schedule status, and develop recovery plans for anticipated or occurring delays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- 5+ years of P6 scheduling experience on medium to large-sized construction projects
- Experience on large capital construction projects
- Experience developing and integrating multiple project schedules
- Proficient in MS Excel and/or database systems
- In-depth understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling logic across the project life cycle
- Highly articulate, with a clear, analytical approach to problem-solving and strong decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology tools used in daily work
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software and report preparation
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night or weekend shifts, as needed
- Must be available to travel to jobsites as needed
- The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and lift and /or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Certification with AACE, PMI, or CMAA preferred
