Job Summary
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects ranging from mini-mega to super mega scopes, managing full lifecycle delivery including scope development, technical proposals, and contract negotiations. Serve as the primary client liaison to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes while overseeing project staffing, recruitment, and team mentorship. Execute the firm's Sophisticated Delivery Approach by leading project management plans, performing technical discipline tasks such as analysis and specification, and coordinating with internal and external partners to resolve design issues. Partner with Client Service Leaders to support business development and lead interview presentations for strategic opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 12 years of relevant experience
- 4 years of successful management of engineering projects
- Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined or large/complex projects
- Identifying and handling risk and change management independently
- Leading large teams inside and outside of HNTB using sub-consultants
- Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects
- Leading HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project
- Serving as the lead interface with the client
- Deploying talent to other projects and developing successors to work with same client on other work
- Master's degree in Engineering preferred
- 15 years relevant experience preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
