Job Summary
Sr. Project Manager for Trust Business Applications at TMX, leading planning, delivery, and execution across the delivery lifecycle to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes while prioritizing client needs. The role is hybrid (2–3 days/week in the Toronto office) and requires extensive IT project management experience, including cloud/SaaS implementations, budgets over $2M, end-to-end delivery, and strong governance. The PM will define scope with senior management, build integrated project plans, manage schedules and resources, monitor budgets and change control, maintain documentation, and provide regular status reporting. Key capabilities include SDLC/Iterative and Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and collaboration within a matrixed financial services environment. PMP certification is a nice-to-have. The posting notes a cloud-first and hybrid workstyle, with offices in Canada. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ experience managing Information Technology projects including Cloud and SAAS implementations
- Experience with end to end project delivery (includes managing both the business and IT phases of a project) of projects in excess of $2M
- Experience managing business application projects used in the Trust business, including new external portals
- Ability to successfully navigate and deliver within a fully matrixed environment that is complex and somewhat ambiguous
- Experience with projects involving various solutions including in-house development, third party applications, on premise and cloud platforms
- Demonstrated leadership, with the ability to motivate and effectively manage teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Background delivering projects using SDLC, Iterative and Agile methodologies
- Excellent relationship building abilities and understanding that partnership is key to successful delivery
- Prior experience working with regulators and external clients
- PMP certification (Nice to Have)
