Job Summary
Sr. Project Manager (Transportation-PE) leads complex transportation projects from planning through delivery, ensuring technical excellence and quality control. Mentors junior engineers, oversees scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and risk management; drives business development and client relationships; manages contract performance, profitability, and project outcomes. Requires a Civil Engineering degree and a VA P.E. license (or ability to obtain), with 15+ years of transportation/highway design and project leadership, and proficiency in traffic engineering, drainage, and roadway design (MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD/Civil3D a plus); experience with design-build and PPP projects is a bonus. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- P.E. license in Virginia or ability to obtain
- 15+ years of hands-on transportation/highway design and project leadership
- ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and mentor engineers
- Strong relationships with local agencies and knowledge of VDOT, AASHTO, FHWA, MUTCD standards
