Job Summary
Senior Project Manager responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of electrical construction projects, leading and supervising project managers and assistants, developing new business opportunities and relationships with clients, and ensuring projects are built on schedule and within budgets. Key duties include establishing objectives and performance standards, supervising change orders and cost tracking, maintaining logs, coordinating with prime client and A/E, and preparing monthly costing reports. Requires strong leadership, problem solving, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction processes; travel 10-25%; bachelor’s degree preferred (construction management, civil/structural engineering or related) with 10+ years of PM experience; PE license a plus. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods required
- Proven experience mentoring and managing others
- Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures; Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedure
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle and Accubid preferred
- Strong leadership skills, business acumen, integrity
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others
