Job Summary
Collaborate with the production team to draft, review, and finalize site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents for residential communities and subdivisions. Guide junior staff in executing project-based tasks accurately while preparing technical reports, opinions, and recommendations ranging from hydrology studies to project schedules. Provide essential construction support by managing permit applications, quantity estimates, contractor coordination, and field operations. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and engineering software to ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget. Mentor the next generation of engineers through training opportunities within Atwell's Civil Engineering group.
Required Qualifications
- Residential land development experience
- Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing preliminary and final site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction documents
- Leadership role by guiding and assisting junior staff
- Ensuring that project-based tasks are executed accurately and efficiently
- Preparing hydrology/hydraulic studies and stormwater management reports
- Preparing project schedules
