Job Summary
Manage multiple simultaneous projects across the team, overseeing schedules, contract compliance, and budgets for state government health and human service benefits like Medicaid and SNAP. Develop monitoring mechanisms to solve problems with clients and developers, while analyzing processes to recommend solutions and lead implementation of new software. Coordinate sprint cycles, delegate testing requirements, and prepare status reports to track pricing and module development. Act as the liaison between management and delivery teams, leading responses to client bids and requests for proposals. Directly supervise a small group of support professionals, organize business development strategy sessions, and coach colleagues on execution. Provide after-hours client support and travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-year projects
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Background in State Benefit programs (i.e. Medicaid, SNAP)
- Knowledge of eligibility determination processes
- Knowledge of CMS and FNA
- Must be located in Alaska
- Schedule flexibility due to clients located across the U.S. (multiple time-zones)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Strong analytical skills, and ability to organize and plan work efficiently within set time limits
- Excellent ability to effectively communicate project status, issues and information to the client and project team
- Strong Microsoft Office applications skills (preferably with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
- Self-starter, ability to manage time and deliver to aggressive and/or changing time schedules
