Job Summary
Manage medium to large CapEx and OpEx projects by developing proposals, monitoring budgets, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure goals across HSEC, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Cost are met. Oversee contractors, evaluate bids, and track progress while maintaining organized documentation and version control for drawings and records. Provide technical leadership on civil infrastructure systems including roads, tailings, and utilities, ensuring compliance with MSHA policies and safety standards. Facilitate meetings, review technical drawings, and support project closeout activities under direct supervision. Work within a 4-day, 10-hour schedule at the Pinto Valley copper mine in Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years experience managing large civil mining projects
- Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and ability to interpret/redline technical drawings
- Experience managing project schedules and budgets using Microsoft Project, Excel, and Gantt charts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical exam
- All candidates will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test
- All candidates will be required to complete a background check
- All positions require a pre-placement physical examination
Desired Qualifications
- PMP Certification
- Engineering in Training Certificate
- PE License
- Relevant Project Management experience in Mining or Heavy Industrial Construction industry
- Experience with SAP
- Familiarity with contract review processes
- Ability to build external networks and source technical or project-related information as needed
