Job Summary
Review project estimates, bids, and subcontractor selections while preparing and expediting submittals, procurement logs, and cash flow plans for architect approval. Monitor construction activities, resolve issues regarding changes and subcontractor performance, and ensure punch list completion and closeout documentation. Supervise subordinate Project Managers, Superintendents, and engineers to deliver projects within budget and schedule. Manage resource allocation and communicate monthly status reports to upper management and clients.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in engineering, construction management or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, including estimating, project scheduling and control, and management of field personnel or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications
- Knowledge of and application skills in geometry, trigonometry and algebra
- Ability to manage project teams and large groups of personnel, and ability to accomplish desired results through delegation
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
