Job Summary
Lead project management for Land Development, Stormwater, Water/Sewer, and Erosion/Sedimentation design projects, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget delivery through hands-on planning and dependency tracking. Manage team assignments, balance workloads, and supervise staff while mentoring and developing talent. Drive business growth by preparing technical proposals, presenting to regulatory boards, and building client relationships. Oversee permitting for federal, state, and local agencies, manage accounts receivable, and provide technical assistance to resolve project problems. Maintain leadership presence in regional civic and professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering: AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydrology Software i.e. ICPR and Cascade
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
