Job Summary
Senior Project Manager, Construction leads delivery of new store builds, remodels, relocations, and special construction initiatives across a multi-site retail portfolio. Manages all phases of the construction process with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure projects are on time, within budget, and compliant with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include planning, execution, and delivery across multiple locations; managing scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and quality; coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, landlords, and internal partners; overseeing documentation, change management, forecasting, reporting, and closeout; aligning with operational, financial, and brand objectives; conducting site visits; vendor and stakeholder management; negotiating contracts and change orders; managing costs and forecasting; identifying value engineering opportunities; ensuring safety compliance; driving continuous improvement and best practices. Requires ability to travel regularly to project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of progressive construction project management experience, preferably within retail development environments
- Proven experience managing new builds, remodels, renovations, and multi-site construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project delivery processes, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
- Experience managing multiple vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and construction compliance requirements
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and change orders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites as required
- PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or similar professional certifications (Preferred)
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk BIM 360, or similar tools (Preferred)
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera (Preferred)
- Knowledge of both union and non-union construction environments (Preferred)
- Experience identifying value engineering opportunities and driving process improvements across construction programs (Preferred)
