Job Summary
Sr. Project Manager - Civil Site Development responsible for leading heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction to closeout; serves as primary client contact, coordinates with field superintendents and design teams, leads subcontract buyout and procurement, monitors monthly cost-to-budget and progress, manages change orders, preconstruction kickoff, and post-project reviews, and ensures schedule, safety, and quality goals are met; requires strong collaboration, budgeting, and CPM scheduling skills; travel within the Kansas City metro area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent field experience considered
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in heavy civil, site work, or infrastructure construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and construction accounting software such as Vista by Viewpoint or similar ERP platforms
- Working knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling and CPM software
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets typically ranging from $2M to $20M or more
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record; regular travel within the Kansas City metro area
