Job Summary
Lead end-to-end project management of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) infrastructure and service implementation projects in Washington State, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, procurement, and external contractors; oversee construction activities, schedules, budgets, and quality control to meet program objectives; develop operational readiness strategies and integration of transit systems, facilities, and service delivery models; manage procurement and contractor oversight with performance monitoring and risk management; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (Washington State emphasis); collaborate with stakeholders to improve service planning, passenger experience, and system performance; identify and mitigate project risks related to scope, schedule, cost, and constructability; requires strong experience in transportation/infrastructure project delivery and leadership in cross-functional environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a project management role
- background in civil engineering, construction management, or transportation systems
- demonstrated experience with bus and/or rail transit projects
- strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction processes, and contract management
- experience in public sector or transit agency environments preferred
- familiarity with Washington State regulations, permitting, utilities, and transit delivery standards is a plus
- proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and stakeholders
- strong communication skills
