Sr Project Manager - Aviation

Job Summary
Plan, design, and manage civil and aviation infrastructure projects, overseeing stormwater, utility, and pavement design while coordinating large, multi-disciplinary design teams. Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications, then analyze design alternatives, cost estimates, and schedules to ensure delivery on time and within budget. Lead client relationship management with local and national aviation partners, support business development through proposal preparation, and mentor junior team members. Requires a North Carolina P.E. license, 10+ years of civil engineering experience, and proficiency in Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, including at least 3 years in civil engineering project design
- North Carolina Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience managing aviation or transportation infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to travel to client sites throughout the region
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Commercial Service and General Aviation Airports, NCDOA, NCDOT, FAA, and local permitting agencies
- Familiarity with civil engineering design, site development, and utility coordination
- Advanced proficiency with Civil 3D and related engineering software
