Sr Project Finance Associate - Renewable Energy

Job Summary
Structure, negotiate, and close construction and term debt facilities, tax credit monetization transactions, and other capital arrangements for renewable energy projects. Draft and negotiate deal documents, manage due diligence, coordinate related teams, and liaise directly with clients and counterparties from initial term sheets to project closings. Lead financing transactions, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Requires active bar membership, six years of experience in project finance and M&A, and approximately 1,800 annual hours including billable and pro bono work. Base salary ranges from $315,000 to $350,000. Preferred Seattle office with availability for Minneapolis, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- JD with active bar membership
- at least six years of experience in project finance and M&A within a reputable law firm
- experience with renewables
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong drafting skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- solid understanding of tax equity structures
- solid understanding of market-standard terms
- commitment of approximately, 1,800 hours annually, including billable, pro bono, and development activities
- Seattle is the preferred office for this position
- interest in the Minneapolis, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Washington, DC offices
