Job Summary
Partner with Project Managers to support the financial performance of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle. Review contracts to ensure proper project setup, including revenue recognition, billing, and delivery requirements. Manage project financial metrics such as revenue, margin, backlog, unbilled accounts, and accounts receivable. Ensure accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, and collections in accordance with contractual terms and company policies. Support month-end close activities, including financial review, reporting, and analysis. Analyze project performance to identify financial risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in preparing and delivering financial reviews with Project Managers and Operations leadership. Proactively work with stakeholders to resolve aging unbilled balances and accounts receivable issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Contracts, Accounting, and Tax, to support project and business objectives. Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement scalable solutions to enhance efficiency and financial controls. Assist with onboarding, training, and development of best practices within the Project Finance organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant experience in project accounting, finance, auditing, revenue analysis, or similar roles
- Understanding of revenue recognition and project-based financial management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial results and recommend actions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong partnerships with project and operational stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems
Desired Qualifications
- Deltek Costpoint experience is preferred
