Sr. Project Engineer

Job Summary
Coordinate cross-organizational inputs for the design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of enrichment plant infrastructure in Piketon, Ohio. Lead conceptual and detailed design package reviews, support construction work packages, and manage change orders including constructability issues and risk mitigation. Direct equipment specifications, fabrication, site acceptance testing, and facility acceptance testing per NQA-1 quality programs. Establish preventive maintenance actions, monitor project schedules and budgets, and evaluate contractor invoices for compliance. Perform field walkdowns in industrial work areas and review engineering documentation such as system requirements, design calculations, and change evaluations. Periodic travel to vendor locations is anticipated. This role supports the deployment of a new plant facility with long-term operations in mind.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- BS degrees in Architecture or Construction Management
- 5-7 years' engineering experience
- Construction environment experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a 'Q' level security clearance
- Periodic travel to various vendor locations
Desired Qualifications
- Project management/engineer experience
- Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and or Chemical engineering discipline
- Effective in multiple communication modes with various vendors, suppliers, and internal team members
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a 'Q' level security clearance
