Job Summary
Sr Project Engineer role focusing on leading continuous improvement projects, applying advanced problem-solving methods and 8D processes to troubleshoot customer complaints and manufacturing issues; acts as Engineering Team Facilitator, leads audits (vendor, customer, internal, and certification), mentors engineers/technicians, designs and coordinates experiments and change-management activities, and coordinates product transfers and manufacturing validations across functions.
Required Qualifications
- BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Electrical or Industrial Engineers will be considered
- Minimum 5-10+ years of engineering experience in Project Management, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering in semiconductor packaging or chemical processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mixing, coating, converting and punch press experience
- Certified Quality Engineer by American Society of Quality preferred
- Six Sigma Green belt certification; Black belt preferred
- Practiced and Trained in Lean Principles
- Leadership training and/or experience leading projects and small groups of professionals
