Job Summary
Sr Project Engineer responsible for leading cross-functional continuous improvement projects, applying Quality tools and problem-solving methods, facilitating engineering teams, executing 8D problem resolution, designing experiments, and coordinating change management activities. Key duties include directing critical internal and external problem resolutions, mentoring engineers, leading audits (vendor, customer, internal, certification), coordinating manufacturing validation and new product transfers, developing formal root-cause analyses and corrective actions, and driving safety, cost-reduction, efficiency, and quality improvements. Requires a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical or Industrial considered), 5-10+ years in engineering functions related to semiconductor packaging or chemical processing, familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean, and proven leadership in project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 5-10+ years of engineering experience in Project Management, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering in semiconductor packaging or chemical processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six Sigma Green belt certification; Black belt preferred
- Certified Quality Engineer by American Society of Quality preferred
- Lean Principles
- Leadership training and/or experience leading projects and small groups of professionals
