Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multiple discipline EPC project, including contract administration, planning, scheduling, and procurement. Direct field engineers to gather data for submittals, manage daily labor timesheets, and compile project records. Champion safety initiatives by leading site reviews, toolbox meetings, and training, while ensuring all inspections and quality documentation are completed. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and generate change orders and as-built data for the Project Manager. Monitor project costs, establish cashflow forecasts, and drive the planning process through master schedules and manpower curves. Act as the primary company representative in the absence of the Project Manager and mentor direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
