Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multiple discipline EPC project, including contract administration, planning, scheduling, and procurement. Direct field engineers to perform material takeoffs, manage daily labor timesheets, and compile procurement status reports. Lead site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and training while championing the corporate safety plan. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and generate change orders and as-built data. Manage project recordkeeping, correspondence, and the master schedule, including productivity tracking and cost forecasting. Administer accounting updates, budgeting processes, and cashflow forecasts to ensure positive financial performance. Act as the primary company representative in the absence of the Project Manager, mentoring direct reports and supervising a team of up to 100 people as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
