Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multiple discipline EPC project, interfacing with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Direct field engineers and manage a team of up to 100 people while leading site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and training. Create quantity calculation formulas, master project schedules, and procurement status reports; drive planning processes through 6-week, 3-week, and 1-week curves. Administer accounting updates, manage cost forecasting, and generate change orders and as-built data. Represent the company professionally in all client interactions and ensure timely completion of inspections, quality documentation, and contract correspondence. This role involves extensive travel, with up to 90% of time spent on-site across the U.S. for 8-18 months per project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
