Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee full-scope project controls and management for a multiple-discipline EPC project, including direct support for installed quantity monitoring, contract administration, and project reporting. Champion corporate safety plans, lead site-specific safety reviews, and train crews on Job Safety Analysis while managing daily labor timesheets and procurement status reports. Direct Field Engineers and a team of 100 people as needed, supervise subcontractor operations, and create quantity calculation formulas for accurate material takeoffs. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups using master project schedules and manpower curves, while administering job costs, work in progress updates, and cashflow forecasts. Generate change orders, as-built data, and develop Schedule of Values for customer invoices. Act as primary company representative in the absence of the Project Manager, ensuring all client interactions, RFIs, and submittals are handled professionally. Support a crew of 100 people for short periods and maintain in-depth relations with all team members and government agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
