Job Summary

Oversee project controls and management for a multi-discipline EPC project, including contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and reporting. Direct field engineers and manage a team of up to 100 people, providing site support and supervising subcontractor operations. Lead safety initiatives by championing corporate plans, conducting toolbox meetings, and training crews on Job Safety Analyses. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and manage material takeoffs and purchase orders. Generate change orders, as-built data, and Schedule of Values while monitoring labor, material, and equipment costs to forecast cash flow. Act as the primary company representative on site, reviewing field data for submittals and coordinating with clients, vendors, and governmental agencies. This role involves extensive travel, with up to 90% of time spent on project sites across the U.S. for an average of 8-18 months per project.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
  • 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
  • Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
  • Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
  • Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
  • Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
  • See well (either naturally or with correction)
  • Hear well (either naturally or with correction)
  • Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
