Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multiple-discipline EPC project, including direct support for installed quantity monitoring, contract administration, and project reporting. Represent the company professionally with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors while interfacing with project management on status updates. Champion corporate safety plans, lead jobsite safety reviews, and train crews on Job Safety Analysis. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and manage procurement status reports. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups; direct field engineers to gather data for submittals and prepare material buyout takeoffs. Administer accounting, job costs, and work-in-progress updates, leading the budgeting process and forecasting cash flow. Manage all project recordkeeping, correspondence, and change orders. Direct home office procurement functions and supervise a team of field engineers and office staff, potentially supporting crews of up to 100 people.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
