Sr. Project Engineer - Construction

Job Summary
Oversee and execute project controls and management for a multiple discipline EPC project, including contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and procurement. Direct field engineers to gather data for submittals, manage daily labor timesheets, and lead site safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and training. Create quantity calculation formulas, develop work plans, and coordinate work groups while ensuring quality documentation is completed for final turnover. Manage project recordkeeping, correspondence, and change orders; generate as-built data, schedules, and cost forecasts to support the Project Manager. Monitor productivity tracking, equipment logs, and risk/opportunity logs, alerting leadership to labor, material, and subcontractor cost trends. Act as the primary company representative in the absence of the Project Manager, supporting a crew of 100 people and leading direct reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related
- 7 plus years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
- Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Willing to travel extensively and relocate to the next project location for an extended period (typically 6-12 months.)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
- Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
- See well (either naturally or with correction)
